Give Your Love to Others

one day i was walking home from school when an old woman came towards me. she came up to me and asked if i could spare her some change for food. i had about 50 yuan in my pocket since i was about to do some shopping. but instead of giving her some change, i asked if i could buy her some food. at first she refused, saying she wanted the money. but i told her i couldn’t help her. then as i started walking away, she changed her mind. and we started walking towards a store.
as we came to the store, she asked me to go in and said she would wait outside. she kept glancing nervously around, not even came to the entrance of the store. she looked ashamed.
i asked her what she wanted, expecting that she might name much most expesive food. however, to my surprise, she just asked for a pack of biscuits which is the cheapest. while shopping, i threw in a pack of juice boxes along with a pack of lunch meat.
she was so grateful when i came out with my bag of food for her. she kept saying, “thank you so much, you’re so kind, thank you, thank you…” with a beautiful smile on her face.
the money which i spent on the food was no more than 5 yuan. but i can reciev so much appreciation from her. i think if you give your love to others, you will receive more precious things.
