　　another round of energy crisis is knocking at the door. in 20xx, world oil consumption reached a new record, causing oil price in the international market to skyrocket amazingly.

　　as for china, it was reported that many traditional mineral cities in northeastern china had run into predicament, with their economy collapsed and workers unemployed, only because coal had been mined out.

　　fossil energy resources, including coal, oil and gas, are unlike sunlight, water power and wind power which are generated consistently. they’re not practically reproductive during human history. once consumed, they’re gone forever.

　　if they were to be exhausted before we could find sufficient reproductive resources to replace them with, we’d have to live in entire blackout again like our ancestors have done thousands of years ago. that’s of course not what anyone would want to see.

　　due to technical limitations, people still have to utilize these resources now.

　　as a result, we must economize them most cleverly. new techniques should be developed and applied to reduce energy cost in industry and daily life. alternative energy should be employed wherever possible. eradicate any practice that wastes energy.

　　humans have overcome so many crises in history, and we’re sure to win this time also.

　　Energy shortage is a huge problem for modern society, and it has a negative impact on people's daily life and economic development. Many elements account for energy shortage. Firstly, rapid economic development prompts an increase of energy consumptions in different industries. Secondly, population growth creates greater demands for household energy usage. Thirdly, people have yet to develop the sense of energy conservation. Actually we can do a lot to save energy in daily life. Turn off lights and fans when nobody is in the room; design buildings with the concept of energy saving; use public transit instead of private cars in rush hours... It is very easy for us to do these things as long as we have the sense of energy conservation, and we should do it right now!

　　能源短缺已經(jīng)成為現(xiàn)代社會(huì)所面臨的一個(gè)嚴(yán)重問題，而且它對(duì)于人們的日常生活和經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展產(chǎn)生了負(fù)面影響。能源短缺有很多因素。首先，各行業(yè)經(jīng)濟(jì)的快速發(fā)展使得能源消耗也在增長(zhǎng)，第二，人口增長(zhǎng)也使每個(gè)家庭的能源使用的需求也在增大，第三，人們的節(jié)能意識(shí)還有待提高。實(shí)際上我們可以在日常生活中做很多節(jié)省能源的事，房間里沒人的時(shí)候關(guān)掉燈光和風(fēng)扇，設(shè)計(jì)建筑時(shí)使用節(jié)能概念，在擁擠的時(shí)段選用公共交通而不是私家車......如果我們有節(jié)能意識(shí)，做這些事情會(huì)很容易，我們應(yīng)該馬上行動(dòng)起來(lái)!

　　The earth is suffering, and we, the human beings, are suffering with it,too.The rivers on the earth are drying,then we have to turn to the Mars to search for water;trees on the earth are reducing,then we have to use plastics;the oil,coal and gas is getting less an less,then we have to be ready to go backward to the darkness.Everybody hates the pollutions but everybody is making pollutions.If you are responsible person for the world,for the next generation and for yourself,then stop making such mistakes.Let's all together save the environment, save the resources ,save the nature and save the earth as well.Only because that is to save ourselves!Come on,do something with the preservation of the human existence.

　　Everybody knows that we have only one earth on which we share with different kinds of animals and plants.With the development of the industry,we, the human beings, have produced more and more pollutions whci are harmful to the animals,plants and ourselves as well.The most serious problem that we have to face is that the earth is being destroyed by our so-called civilizations.Sometimes,you may find we are having more and more natural disasters on the earth.That is why some countries,like America,has begun to explore the Mars and the other planets.Remember,to save the earth is to save ourselves.
