The computers help them keep more accurate records so they can make better decisions on what crops to plant, how much livestock to buy, when to sell their products, and how much profit they can expect. Many computer companies have been developing special computer programs just for farmers. Programs are being written for hog(豬) producers, grain farmers, potato farmers, and dairy farmers. In the future, farmers will be able to purchase computer programs made to their needs. Because of the growing importance of computers on the farm, students at agricultural colleges are required to take computer classes in addition to their normal agricultural courses. There can be no doubt that farmers will rely on computers even more in the future. While the old-time farm depended on horse power, and modern farms depend on machine power, farms of the future will depend on computer power.

這類題主要是測(cè)試學(xué)生對(duì)一篇文章或一段文字的深層理解程度及在速讀中準(zhǔn)確把握文章主旨大意的能力。一般針對(duì)某一語段或某一語篇的主題標(biāo)題或目的設(shè)題。常見的設(shè)題方式有：
(1) which of the following best describes the main point of the passage?
(2) what is the writer trying to tell us?
(3) which of the following is the best title for the passage?
(4) the purpose of the passage is.
(5) the main (general) idea of the passage is.
(6) the passage is mainly about.
(7) what is mainly discussed in the passage?
這類題通常圍繞一個(gè)中心思想展開，一些文章一開頭便展示出文章的中心思想，第一段常常是內(nèi)容的梗概，同時(shí)又表達(dá)了中心思想，也有一些文章的中心思想貫穿全文，并沒有用一句話明確表達(dá)出來，這就要求學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì)歸納概括。每個(gè)段落往往也由一個(gè)主題句或幾個(gè)陳述句構(gòu)成，它們?cè)诰渲械奈恢貌煌�，有時(shí)在開頭, 首先點(diǎn)明本段大意; 有時(shí)在結(jié)尾, 總結(jié)本段大意。
    做這類題，首先要找出文章的主題句。找出文章的主題句，也就明確了文章要講什么，再通過速讀全文，就可以把握文章的中心思想了。
    主題句在整個(gè)語段中起著通領(lǐng)全段的作用，其它句子都是用來闡述、解釋、支持或發(fā)展主題句所表達(dá)的主題思想的，其位置一般位于段首，也見于段尾或段中。
    另外在許多文段中，設(shè)有可以概括全段意義的主題句，必須根據(jù)文章中所提供的事實(shí)細(xì)節(jié)，進(jìn)行全面分析，然后歸納成一般概念。但必須注意，既不能以偏概全，也不能在概括時(shí)過于寬泛，要恰如其分。 這就需要進(jìn)一步加工概括了。

一、重
“重”——“重文本”。讀懂文章最重要。
文本是題源所在，如果將考生比作勘探人員，那么文本就是他們的勘探場(chǎng)所。撰題者正式通過對(duì)文章的深入剖析，才將一個(gè)個(gè)地寶藏埋藏其中，讓考生去發(fā)掘。所以讀懂文本不僅是正確解題的第一步，也是最關(guān)鍵的一步。
但是，快速讀懂一篇文章卻非易事，需要進(jìn)行大量的閱讀習(xí)練。高超的閱讀真功夫有賴良好的閱讀習(xí)慣的培養(yǎng)。既要讀得快，又要讀得懂，良好的閱讀習(xí)慣是保障。
1、閱讀的不良習(xí)慣
要養(yǎng)成良好的閱讀習(xí)慣，首先要克服閱讀的不良習(xí)慣。下面我列舉了一些常見的閱讀不良習(xí)慣，對(duì)號(hào)入座，看你有否。
心譯：讀一句心譯一句，句句必須借助漢語譯文方能理解；
指讀：閱讀時(shí)總是用指頭或筆尖等指著句子，邊移邊讀；
逐字逐句：一字一句，字字重視，句句關(guān)心，生怕漏掉一個(gè)單詞，眉毛胡子一把抓；
見生即查：閱讀時(shí)欲將生詞各個(gè)擊破，完全掃清閱讀障礙，認(rèn)為只要沒有生詞，便可洞悉文章；
出聲：閱讀時(shí)發(fā)出聲音，全篇誦讀，字字句句，絲毫不拉；
唇讀：閱讀時(shí)雖沒有發(fā)出聲音，但唇隨句變，詞帶舌移，只是聲帶未顫，聲音未出；

【教法指引】教師在引導(dǎo)考生復(fù)習(xí)備考突破該題型時(shí)要注意該題型與傳統(tǒng)的閱讀理解試題不同的是：在考查學(xué)生閱讀理解的基礎(chǔ)上，增加了對(duì)書面表達(dá)能力的考查。該試題既考查學(xué)生的語言輸入，也考查語言的輸出；同時(shí)，考生對(duì)問題的回答即語言的輸出應(yīng)建立在對(duì)文章內(nèi)容理解的前提上。該題型最顯著的特點(diǎn)在于所問問題中包括翻譯試題和開放型問題。翻譯試題是要求考生結(jié)合所翻譯的句子及文中的情景進(jìn)行翻譯；開放型問題要求考生根據(jù)自己的理解和個(gè)人的觀點(diǎn)來進(jìn)行回答。由此可見，該試題比傳統(tǒng)的閱讀理解試題更具綜合性，更能體現(xiàn)對(duì)考生語言綜合運(yùn)用能力的考查。因此在訓(xùn)練學(xué)生應(yīng)試該題型時(shí)要和閱讀理解、書面表達(dá)結(jié)合在一起，從該題型的考查要點(diǎn)著手，抓住要點(diǎn)。7個(gè)類型的題目進(jìn)行有針對(duì)性的訓(xùn)練，把培養(yǎng)閱讀表達(dá)能力和做題技巧與培養(yǎng)考生的閱讀理解、書面表達(dá)能力融為一起，共同提高；在練中訓(xùn)練考生的理解能力、表達(dá)能力；培養(yǎng)起他們的開放性思維習(xí)慣。
