第一課時
一.教學目標（teaching aims）
1.學習情態詞must的意思和用法。
2.進一步使學生掌握祈使句的肯、否定形式。
3.學習對話并讓學生了解一些簡單的交通知識，并教育學生要遵守交通規則。
4.“四會”詞句:stop（停止），traffic lights （紅綠燈）， red(紅色)green(綠色)，cross(通過)，park(停車)。

二、教學重、難點(key points and difficult points）
1.在學習情態動詞can,may的基礎上繼續學習情態動詞must的意思和用法。
2.要求學生熟讀對話，掌握“四會”詞句。
三、教學用具(preparations)
1.教具：錄音機、圖片、交通標識牌。
2.學具：白紙、水彩筆。
四、教學過程（teaching process）
（一）復習導入
1.首先，老師帶學生邊說歌謠邊做 動作。原地踏步，并說
step,step,step.
step right ,step left,
step right,step step left.
turn right,turn left.
turn right,turn left.
turn,turn,turn.
2.一會兒，老師就說:stop,stop.it’s time to have a class.we must stop.don’t turn left. don’t turn right.
3.然后，老師可以將這幾個句子寫在黑板上。
stop.
don’t turn lefe.
don’t turn right.
4.接下來，老師拿出一輛玩具小汽車說：look, it’s a car. the car is coming. you must be careful. you must stop.然后老師又拿出一個紅綠燈的標識牌說：look! what are they, red light, green light and yellow light. oh, yes. traffic lights, traffic lights, look at the traffic lights. the light is red. can you go? no, you must stop. the light is green and you can cross.在老師說的同時，還要用手指紅綠燈的標識牌，并用另一只手拿小汽車演示“紅燈停，綠燈行”。隨后，老師將幾個句子寫在黑板上。
5.老師對學生進行交通安全教育。
（二）新授
1.在剛才導入新句子的基礎上，老師放課文對話錄音，學生聽一句復述一句并說出每一句的意思。
2.老師出示第55頁的圖片和內容，然后逐句講解。a car is coming.一輛汽車過來了。you must be careful.你必須當心點。look at the traffic lights.看看紅綠燈。the light is red and you must stop.紅燈亮時你必須停。the light is green and you can cross.綠燈亮時你才可以通行。讓學生了解情態動詞must的用法：must是“一定，必須”的意思用來表示對某人的要求。
例如：
you must do your homework now.
tom must go to school today.
3.在完整放幾遍課文對話錄音后，讓學生反復跟讀，并兩人一組進行對話練習。老師進行抽查。
4.老師拿出提前準備好的交通標識牌說：what does it mean?問學生這是什么意思，有的學生可能知道。老師接著說：don’t park here.用同樣的方法說出其它幾幅圖片的意思。don’t turn left. don’t cross the road. turn right.
（三）鞏固練習
1.老師領讀以上幾句話。
