一、教學目標:
知識技能目標:1、能聽、說、讀、寫并正確使用單詞:
who, me , then, hair, so , grandparents.
2、能理解并使用was ,were來談論過去的事情和情況。
3、能聽懂、會讀、理解課文并回答相關的問題。
情感態度目標:培養學生的觀察能力,發現人物和事物過去與現在的變化,保持他們對學習英語的熱情。
學習策略目標:培養學生積極與他人合作,積極運用英語進行交流,在交流中發展運用語言的能力。
二、教學重點難點:
1、使用 “was” “were”描述從過去到現在發生的變化。
2、聽、說、讀、寫并正確使用單詞:who, me ,then, hair, so, grandparents.
3、使學生在活動中完成對課文的理解,以及聽、說、讀、寫的訓練。
三、教具準備:多媒體課件、單詞卡、圖片
四、教學過程:
step 1. warming up
a. greetings
b. sing a song: london bridge is falling down
c. review the adjectives.
bring out some cards of adjectives and let students to say the antonym. give a sticker to the student who gives the first answer.
then review the adjectives with the whole class.
step 2. lead-in.
show a picture of yao ming.
t: who is this man? (use card to teach the word who)
ss: he is yao ming.
t: is he tall?
ss: yes, he is.
show another picture of yao ming (he was young and short)
t: he was…
ss: short
t: yes, he was short.
(show the sentence on the screen and write “was” in a different color)
show a picture of my grandparents.
t: this is my grandparents. (teach the word grandparents)
now they are old.
show another picture of them.
t: but they were young then. (teach the word then)
(show the sentence on the screen and write “were” in a different colour)
t: this one is me. i was ten, then. now i am twenty- six.
let students to discuss the changes of these sentences.
teacher explain the use of “was, were”
chant: if it happened we use “were” “was” .if it is now we use “am” “ is” “are”.now let’’s chant:
now, now, now, am, is, and are.
i am tall. he is fat.
now, we are happy.
then, then, then, was, was, were.
i was short. he was thin.
were, were, were, we you and they were.
step 3. presentation
