practice
1 (books open.) shoe transparency and play the pupil’s book cassette. the pupils listen and follow in their books. continue to play the cassette and ask the pupils to repeat the words after the beeps.
2 first ask the pupils to act the teacher and make sentences about the other children on the stage and what they are wearing. show the pupils that each child has a number on his or her arm. ensure that the pupils say the number of the pupils in the picture as well as the colours of the items of clothing when they speak.
3 point to the list of children and their numbers. in order to be able to identify the children they need to look at the number and the name on the list. demonstrate by pointing to one of the children and asking who’s this?
4 ask the pupils about different items of clothing the children on the page are wearing, e.g. who’s wearing the green trousers?
5 ask the pupils to work in pairs to role-play the conversation. ask the pupils to ask and answer about each of the children using their names and describing what he/she is wearing.

3 point to the pictures and check that the pupils can say the words without my model.
4 play the pupil’s book cassette again. ask the pupils to listen to the rhyme and to circle dean. get the pupils to say the rhyme.
