六年級下冊第一單元 課題 unit 1 how tall are you?  第一課時 
教學目標 1.能夠聽、說、讀、寫形容詞的比較級形式：taller stronger older younger shorter。
2.能夠運用句型“i’m …cm tall. he/she’s …cm tall.”描述自己和他人的身高。
3.能用句型“you’re taller than your brother. i’m older than you.”進行年齡和身高的比較。
4.能聽懂教師的指令，按不同的年齡、身高排隊，并用所學語言進行表述。
教學重難點 1、能夠聽、說、認讀a let’s learn部分五個形容詞的比較級形式，并能用含有比較級的句型替換關鍵詞進行問答。
2、能夠聽、說、讀、寫四會單詞，并能根據一定情境使用含有形容詞比較級的句型替換關鍵詞進行問答。
3、長度單詞cm的完整形式centimeter的發音。
教具
準備 1、錄音機，三年級下冊六單元let’s do部分的錄音磁帶和本課錄音帶。
2、本課時的單詞卡片。
3、測量身高和體重的工具。

1. preparation
(1) chant：教師播放三年級下冊六單元a部分let’s do的錄音“tall, tall, tall, make yourself tall…”師生一起吟唱并做出相應的動作。
(2) free talk：
t：good morning/afternoon! boys and girls.
ss: good morning! miss/ mr…
t: how are you?
ss: i’m fine. thank you! and you?
t: i’m fine, too. who is your … teacher?
ss: mr/ miss…
t: what’s he/she like?
ss: he/ she is …and …
引導學生描述自己的老師，復習學過的形容詞。并適時板書這些形容詞:tall, short, strong, thin, young, old.
設計意圖：熱身復習，通過一個形式活潑的chant復習與本課內容相關的形容詞，創設英語氛圍，激發學習興趣，溫故知新，為新課學習做鋪墊。
2. presentation
(1)出示一張劉翔的圖片，問：who is he? what’s he like? 引導學生回答：he is liu xiang. he is tall.
t: yes, liu xiang is tall. （出示姚明的圖片。）look at yao ming. what’s he like?
ss: he is tall, too.
t: yes, he is tall. he is taller than liu xiang.(在tall后面用紅筆加上er. 領讀、拼讀單詞并說句子。)
make a chant: taller , taller, taller, yao ming is taller than liu xiang.
t：yao ming is taller than liu xiang. liu xiang is shorter than yao ming. (在short后面用紅筆加上er. 領讀、拼讀單詞并說句子。)
make a chant: shorter, shorter, shorter, liu xiang is shorter than yao ming.
教師出示測量身高的米尺并說:“i am 158 cm tall. how tall are you?”引導學生測量自己的身高并用句子回答：“i am … cm tall.”
板書：cm=centimeter 領讀、拼讀單詞并告訴學生它的復數形式: centimeters. 如：i am 158 cm tall. 讀作：i am one hundred and fifty-eight centimeters tall.
