1. knowledge aim
know sth about the common accidents and how to give first aid step by step
learn some sentence structures to give their ideas clearly such as-----
--you should/should not…you’d better…you ought to/ought not to…please do…don’t…
---first, and then, next, finally…
2. ability aim
help ss organize and express their opinions using some sentence structures
develop the spirit of teamwork and share ideas with each others through group discussion
improve their speaking skills by expressing their ideas in their own words
3. emotion aim
improve the teamwork to work out the problems, difficulties or accidents that they are facing
ii. teaching important and difficult points
a. know how to describe an accident using some sentence structures
b. know how to give first aid step by step clearly
c. know how to write an article about a fire accident after discussion

step 1 warming-up and lead-in
show the definition of first aid clearly [to revise what is first aid]
ask ss to name some common accidents in our daily life [to raise the interest of learning first aid and to know the importance of giving first aid quickly]
tell them to describe accidents and to do the first aid according to the different situations [to practice their spoken english and the ability of how to organize their ideas clearly]
step 2 reading
let ss listen to the real story ----how first aid saved a woman and after listening just answer some simple questions [listen and to know the general idea of the passage]
second reading can make ss know more about the story [to prepare ss to retell/organize the story in their own words]
step 3 describing and retelling
after second reading, ss can have a better understanding of the whole text, so ss can use some key words to describe and retell the text [to improve their speaking skills with the help of key words]
step 4 discussing and writing
suppose a fire broke out in a building, what can you do to save yourself or save others with some knowledge of first aid [this is a chance for ss to work with a team and to share their opinions, also it makes a good preparation for writing]
