　　在學(xué)習(xí)上，腦子里持著進(jìn)入大學(xué)后好好放松從重壓下解放出來的思想，于是忽略了學(xué)習(xí)。沒有高中時候的主動性和積極性。每次臨近期末考，考前一周臨時抱下佛腳，算是順利通過。但是自從吸取幾次大學(xué)英語四級失敗的慘痛教訓(xùn)之后，我發(fā)現(xiàn)在大學(xué)不學(xué)習(xí)是不行的。必須努力地充實自己，花精力花時間在課外閱讀上，提高自己的專業(yè)水平，開闊視野。在課堂上，雖然不必要像高中那會那樣全神貫注，但也不能經(jīng)常走神，思想開小差。在這一點上，我自認(rèn)做的不好。時常會被乏味的課堂氣氛弄的困意大發(fā)。作為營銷專業(yè)的學(xué)生，必須增加自己的閱讀量，開闊視野。我堅信任何一個人的成功都不是偶然，事前必然經(jīng)歷過許許多多的努力，所以想在畢業(yè)之后收獲更多，在大學(xué)期間就要付出更多!

　　在生活上，崇尚樸實質(zhì)樸的生活作風(fēng)。在大學(xué)期間，養(yǎng)成了良好的生活習(xí)慣。比如從來沒有無故夜不歸宿。平時比較平易近人，對人態(tài)度友好，與同學(xué)和朋友的相處融洽。我一直相信，生活源于堅韌的信念。只有具備堅強(qiáng)的意志，才能面對生活中出現(xiàn)的各種困難和挫折。因此，個人的生活獨立性和自理能力比較強(qiáng)，很多事情都力求自己解決，盡量不讓別人幫忙。

　　The title of my paper is On Translation of Loanwords . I choose this as my topic due to the following reasons. We all know that loanwords also refer to the borrowing words, and it is a product of language contact. Since the 1980s, with the increasingly frequent contact and communications between China and the rest of the world, a lot of new things and ideas are introduced into China which is bound to cause loanwords from English into Chinese with unprecedented scope and speed. Loanwords involves in every field of social life in the new period, appearing new borrowing climax in the history. Which make the study on translation of loanwords be very necessary.

　　Next, it is an outline of my paper. In the main part of this paper, I divide it into five parts. Part one presents an introduction for some scholars’ researches on translation of loanwords from different angles. Part two provides an overview of loanwords including the definition of loan words, classification of loanwords, booming periods of loanwords from English to Chinese and the significance of loanwords translation. Part three present existing problems on translation of

　　Good evening, all the appraiser committee members. I come from HUST, majoring in foreign linguistics and applied linguistics. I am and my supervisor is prof.. This evening I will present my efforts to you all and I gratefully welcome any correction.

　　The title of my paper is A Study of the Causes of the Gothic Style

　　in A Rose for Emily from a Feminist Perspective. I choose this as my topic due to the following reasons. Firstly, I am fond of literature works , especially gothic literature works. Secondly, I am quite familiar with this short story as this is one of the texts in our intensive teaching course and I have taught this text for more than 3 times . Last but not the least ,as a female , I am keen on the study of feminism. For the above facts, I select the subject of A Study of the Causes of the Gothic Style in A Rose for Emily from a Feminist Perspective as the title of my paper.

　　I hope by studying this short story we can know more about American southern women in certain history and culture and more importantly help women in modern society get a deeper understanding about ourselves ,help us raise our independence and confidence and show more concern for our mental health.

　　Next , I will present it to you. Here is an outline of my presentation. They are literature review, gothic tradition , the gothic style in the story and the causes of the gothic style .

　　This paper consists of six parts. Part one presents an introduction to the author William Faulkner and A Rose for Emily by pointing out the purpose and significance of this study. Part two is literature review which introduces the relevant research about this novel at home and abroad and then points out the theoretical basis and methods. Part three gives a timeline of the gothic tradition in literature and explains the main characteristics of gothic works. Part four explains the three aspects of the gothic style in the novel，that is, the death theme, grotesque characters and mystic atmosphere. Part five then explains in detail the causes of the gothic style in this novel: patriarchal oppression, the myth of southern ladyhood and Emily’s attitude towards love. Finally, in the conclusion, the author summarizes the previous parts and emphasizes the significance of the argument of the thesis again.

　　四年來，我遇到了比別人多的挫折與失敗，但也取得了相對較多的榮譽，抽屜里一沓證書可以證明。記得四年前的我在公共場合講話都會臉紅、發(fā)抖，當(dāng)了兩年半的班長，一年半團(tuán)支書，在班上或其它地方發(fā)言過無數(shù)次，雖然不是演講，但的確讓我變得勇敢了，現(xiàn)在還會緊張，但再也不會臉紅、發(fā)抖，除非是激動。感覺最成功的一次是給入黨介紹人協(xié)會介紹自己的入黨歷程，下面的朋友給了我很多笑聲和掌聲。我發(fā)現(xiàn)對著鏡子的練習(xí)不是多余的。

　　許多師兄師姐感慨，大學(xué)不談戀愛是失敗的。但我談戀愛并不是害怕失敗。和女友從相識、相互幫助到相知、相互愛慕是一個很自然的過程。她帶給了我無限多的歡樂，也讓我變得像她一樣的善良與寬容。但是，女友并不在我身邊，有過多次想棄她而去，問自己是不是真的'愛她，最終決定，愛！有始無終，一輩子！

　　討厭蘇州大學(xué)北校區(qū)食堂的飯菜，但我很感激我的老師和同學(xué)們。有的老師對我嚴(yán)厲，有的老師特喜歡我，他們在教授我知識的同時，也教會我完善我的人格。我很感激。我把每一個同學(xué)都當(dāng)成朋友，用真誠與真心與他們交往，相信他們也是。
