[論文關鍵詞]自我評價 高職英語 課堂教學
[論文摘要]學生自我評價不僅能夠讓學生發現自己學習中存在的問題,及時了解自己的學習狀況,還可以讓教師清楚地掌握學生的真實想法,從而得到生動的教學研究素材。文章通過對歷經三年收集而來的三屆高職學生對英語學習的自我評價進行分析,提出了其對高職英語教學的啟示。
一、引言
自我評價是指在個人內部就其自身的狀態進行縱向比較所做的價值判斷。學生自我評價是學生個體對自己學習表現的認識與評判,自我評價在學生的學習活動中具有十分重要的作用,這種作用的本質就是使學生為自己的學習承擔責任,因而能使學生更加主動,學習更加有效和更加持久,通過學生的自我認識和自我反思,教師可以更清楚地掌握學生的真實想法,從學生反思的前進的腳步中為自己找到進一步努力的教學目標,幫助教師進行教學決策。
二、調查對象與研究方法
本研究調查對象為筆者所教高職06級2個班、07級2個班、08級2個班,共6個班,涉及5種專業的227名學生。采用了定性研究方法,在一學年的學習結束后每位學生以“自我評價及對英語學習的看法”為題寫一篇個人總結。
三、分析與結果
歷經三年,跨越三屆學生,我們最后將收集到的學生自我評價進行分類整理,得出如下結果: 2.學習興趣。(1)厭煩。據調查顯示,有學生明確表示不喜歡英語,厭煩英語,缺乏積極的學習情感體驗。(2)喜歡。有學生明確表示喜歡英語,這其中一部分是從開始就喜歡,覺得學英語挺快樂的;另一部分是由于老師而改變了態度。(3)中立。大部分學生居于中間狀態,是為了應付考試而學,能夠按時上課,積極配合老師,按時按量地完成作業。 4.學習毅力和自控力。大部分學生學習的毅力和自控力較差,懶惰是他們的通病。不論是成績好的還是差的學生都不避諱自己的缺點,都意識到懶惰是他們提高英語水平的絆腳石。有的靠吃老本,覺得自己有點小聰明,加上初中的底子就混過去了。有的認為英語跟不上的原因是早上沒有晨讀,英語單詞讀不下去,懶于讀書,對待英語的心態不積極。
5.學習習慣和學習方法。相當一部分學生沒有良好的學習習慣及恰當的學習方法,表現為沒有良好的學習習慣,惰性大,依賴性強,學習不主動,上課時注意力不集中,不背單詞,不習慣提問。
6.對英語教學的評價。有的學生認為目前的英語教學就是為了應付考試,忽視口語的重要性,但也有學生希望提高口語水平,還建議專門開設口語課。
四、學生自我評價對高職英語教學的啟示
1.設置適當的目標與任務,讓學生不斷體驗成功。幫助學生樹立繼續前進的自信心是高職英語教師的首要任務。高職英語教學過程中,老師必須了解學生的狀況,明白學生已有的知識能力水平,明確教學目標,尋找學生的興趣所在,設定適當任務,要創造機會讓學生多一些成功的經驗,鼓勵他們,使學生不斷體驗成功,不斷增強英語學習的自我效能感,使學生可以達到目標,使其能看到自己的進步。
2.培養學生的興趣,使其有正確的學習心態及目標。關注和改善學生的心理素質,激活學生學習英語的態度顯得尤為重要。培養學生興趣,可以在教學中挖掘教學內容的新穎性和情趣因素,精心設計教學的每一個基本環節,改進教法,使學生“易學、樂學、善學”。讓學生了解英語是能夠幫助更好更快實現人生夢想的重要工具。對自卑、缺乏自信、處于焦慮中的學生,要讓他們了解英語是一種技能,通過單純的模仿就可以掌握,只要具有正常人的智力,就肯定能夠掌握英語。所以,每個英語學習者都應該樹立信心,一旦有信心,就不會有畏難情緒,就能一直堅持學習,直到掌握英語。
3.重視學生的基礎,傳授學習方法,培養學習習慣。大部分進入職業學院的學生英語基礎薄弱,沒有養成良好的學習習慣。要想提高學生的成績,需要狠抓基礎知識的掌握與落實,查漏補缺。只有重視學生的基礎才能達到教育的實際效應。例如,對于造成大多數學生英語學習困難的根源之一——詞匯量的欠缺,要引導學生采用有效的學習詞匯的策略,包括查閱英語辭典、大量閱讀課本以外的書籍等。
學習方法是教學中的一個重要的基本因素。教師要關注學生獨特的個性,根據教學目標和學生的學習情況指導他們選擇正確有效的學習方法。與此同時,教師要幫助學生認識英語學習規律,形成英語學習習慣,這樣才能花最少的時間和精力而達到最大的效果。因為英語學習成功最重要的因素和最可靠的保證是具有良好的英語學習習慣。在教學中,教師的主導性越強,學生的主體性就越強。相反,教師的主導性越差,學生的主體性就越差。教的本質在于引導,引導學生辨明方向,喚起其內在的精神動力,鼓勵其不斷前進。
4.與學生交朋友。了解學生才能幫助學生。所謂“親其師信其道”“為益友者方能為良師”。走近學生,走近學生的內心世界,學會傾聽、欣賞、贊美學生,才能贏得他們的信賴,繼而演化為學生內心認定的先決條件,使學生產生“向師性”。正如一名學生在總結中所寫的一段令人印象深刻的話:“我認為我們不應該因為他們的學習好與壞而失去人性內心深處的關懷和仁愛,教學不僅僅是傳遞知識,更多的是其背后所流露的那份情感,表面看情感是一種關懷,實際上他是一種動力,正因為人們享受這么一種權利,他才有可能帶著感恩的心去回報,而為了回報他就會盡可能的投老師所好去學習,因為這是感恩的回饋。”
一名優秀的教師應該以豐富的學識引導人、以高超的教學藝術打動人、以充滿愛的懷抱呵護人。對于高職生更應如此,學好英語固然重要,但我們首先要幫助他們樹立自信,掌握正確的學習方法,獲得學習的能力。
5.因人而異,區別評價。長期以來對于學生的評價大多是以鑒定為目的的終結性評價。這種評價已不能適應新形勢下社會對高職人才的多規格、多樣化要求,不能體現學生的動態發展變化,很難發現和發展學生的潛能,阻礙學生認識自我、建立自信。筆者認為,對高職生除了強調學習個體的學習動機、個人努力程度、學習態度等主觀因素外,還應重視學習個體的英語能力傾向以及生理、心理等方面的個體差異。為了避免弱勢群體自知無望而陷入無窮的自卑的情況出現,對他們的要求不應過高,而應給予他們足夠的愛和期待。對于基礎相對較好的學生則鼓勵他們向高一級目標進軍,使他們的潛能得到最大限度的挖掘。評價不僅看學科成績,更應注重學生的綜合素質是否通過教育得到了提高。
因此,要在高職教育領域探索如何具體應用多元化學生評價,從學習態度、完成學習任務、方法和成績等多方面對學生的學習情況進行評估,取消純粹以考分評估學習狀況的做法。例如,像語言知識和技能,可以用常規的語言測試進行評價和檢測;對于情感和策略等學生內在發展狀態的評價,可以通過對同學進行問卷調查、學生自評、互評等方式來進行持續評價。評價要保護學生的自尊心,體現尊重和賞識;評價要關注學生知識差異,也要關注學生情感差異,更要關注學生個體差異。教學過程中的評價應該能幫助學生克服困難,熟悉不足,反思與調控,恢復自信,提高學習能力,化弱勢為強勢。
