　　acing this audience on the stage, i have the e_citing feeling ofparticipating in the march of history, for what we are facing today is more thana mere competition or contest. it is an assembly of some of china’s mosttalented and motivated people, representatives of a younger generation that arepreparing themselves for the coming of a new century.

　　祖國五千年的歷史是生生不息的脈搏，壯麗秀美的山川，歷史悠久的文化，傳遍祖國的每一個地方。我愛它，愛它的幅員遼闊;我愛它，愛它的壯麗山河;我愛它，愛它的民族團結(jié);我愛它，愛它的光輝歷史;我愛它，愛它不滅的期望之火!

　　打開中國歷史的畫冊，我們看到了一代又一代可歌可泣的愛國主義英雄人物，看到了他們留下的一篇又一篇充滿愛國活力的詩歌。

　　愛國，不僅僅是對祖國的一種深厚的感情，它更是一種沉甸甸的職責。

　　大禹治洪水，安天下，三過家門而不入是為了她;屈原憂憤滿腔，投身汨羅江，是為了她;人民解放軍浴血奮戰(zhàn)、拋頭顱、撒熱血是為了她;無數(shù)的科學家、藝術(shù)家、文學家毫不保留地獻出自我的智慧、才華，艱辛地勞動是為了她……為了她——中國，先輩們無私奉獻，不惜犧牲生命，如此強烈的愛國之情足以渲染我們的心。

　　很早以前，日本帝國主義就有侵吞中國的野心，他們制造許多偽證，說中國侵犯了日本人的利益，并向中國挑釁，無能的清政府竟簽定了喪國的中日《馬關(guān)條約》，日本帝國主義還不罷休，出兵侵占中國的領(lǐng)土，發(fā)動了盧溝橋事變，進攻北大營。__黨軍隊7000余人聽從南京政府的不抵抗政策，慘遭失敗，只用了20天左右時間，華北淪陷，日本人占領(lǐng)了大半個中國。他們在中國的土地上犯下了滔天罪行，長白山上焚燒的尸骨、713部隊遺留下來的實驗室……都是不可抹去的歷史罪證。他們毀了我們的家園、辱了我們的民族，掠奪去的是大批奇珍異寶，留下的卻是死尸遍地、血跡斑斑。
